\nStar-delta time relays are designed to be used for the first start-up of three-phase motors. When the coil is energized, it switches to a star connection to enable the motor to start. The star stays connected for the set time and then goes into standby. When the waiting time is over, it allows switching to delta connection. Thus, it provides efficiency by reducing the current drawn by motors using large power during start-up.<\/p>\n
